We have a furnished bedroom with double bed, desk, bookcase for a grad student. Shared bath, includes utilities and full use of the kitchen and grilling on the deck. We are all responsible adults with a desire for a clean and neat house and no drama. If you do drugs or have a problem with alcohol, this isn't the house for you. The house is located in the Duke Forest Neighborhood on a 1/2 acre of beautifully landscaped property. On street safe parking and room in the garage for your bike and sports equipment. Lease will follow the Duke schedule and you can leave your things over the summer if you plan to come back in the Fall. House is air conditioned but room also has an individual window air conditioner for students moving from a colder climate. Sorry but no pets since we already have a toy poodle guarding the house! Owner lives in the house and is a retired HR professional who volunteers as a career counselor to help students write their resume and find jobs, Kevin is a hospital researcher and works out of his home office and we have one other room that is filled with rotating medical students on rotation with Duke Medical Center.

If you are a visiting medical student who does not have a car, townhouse is located on Durham city bus route and circles every 30 minutes taking you directly to the hospital on Erwin Road. Available from July 1 - Dec 31st.

Bedroom/bathroom is $250 a week plus $100 per month for utilities, also a one time fee of $100 for cleaning at the end of monthly rotation.

Mature, caring, Christian woman is seeking to share her serene/upscale town home in the Woodlake community of Durham with a very neat and orderly female professional or mature female student. The furnished room/bath will be available on 06/19/21, and the rent is $700/month. Usage of upstairs den is $50 additional fee. A minimum three (3) month commitment is required. Possible extension for longer stay. In this time of Covid-19, I am overly cautious about WHO moves into my home. Have had both COVID vaccine shots and would need to know that you have or are practicing safe COVID practices. I am a seasoned personal chef and now, my office is in my home. I “Cook in your Nook” for my catering clients who do not...My refrigerator and oven are mainly used for my business. You may use my microwave and air fryer and have a mini fridge in your bedroom. I do offer a reasonably priced dinner if one wishes. The townhouse includes a lovely upstairs bedroom and private bathroom. There is not a huge closet, but 2 desks can be used and closet basket organizers. Home space includes large living room, outdoor deck, and limited kitchen space. There are two small dogs, so, must like dogs. No extra pets. This is a safe and quiet neighborhood around a lake, with a pool and walking trails in the community. We are conveniently located close to NCCU, Duke, and UNC-Chapel Hill, near Southpoint Mall and a five-minute drive to I-40. Amenities include washer/dryer, outdoor deck, entertainment area, cable tv downstairs, Wi-Fi and a home filled with antiques and style. Rent is due no later than the 1st of each month. A one month's security deposit is required at move-in and will be reimbursed at move-out, following a full cleaning and inspection. A $50 cleaning fee will be deducted from the deposit to clean the room upon move-out. Part-time staff is present at least 2 days per week.
