Coming to Duke for a semester or other short visit? Consider staying at the Student Exchange House with other international and U.S. graduate students and visiting faculty.
Our houses are fully furnished -- no need to buy anything, not even sheets and towels. We'll even pick you up at the airport. We often rent by the semester (renewable) but are happy to work with short term rentals as well.
The Student Exchange House has 3 separate houses. Our four bedroom house on Sprunt Ave has private bedrooms ranging in price from $660 to $740. Residents share the kitchen, living room, bathrooms and laundry areas. The monthly rent includes all utilities, including wi-fi. For the fall 2020 semester (mid-Aug - Dec 2020) we are offering this house as a female-only house. Men are welcome to apply to live in either of our other houses.
The house at 3204 Sprunt Ave is less then two miles from Duke, an easy bike ride, and we even provide the bicycles for a small additional fee. The free Duke Bus has a stop just 2 minutes walk away, and runs from early morning until nearly midnight. A shopping center with a good grocery store is a 5 minute walk away.
Our goal is to make your stay in Durham as hassle-free as possible.
